This Memorial Day, the members of the Waltham Police Relief Association pause to remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

We honor their courage, their service, and the families who continue to carry their memory each day. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

Please take a moment today to remember our fallen heroes. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Captain John Parker β€” Commander of the Lexington Militia
Before the first shots at Lexington, he reportedly told his men:
β€œStand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”
β€œThe cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind. … ’Tis not the concern of a day, a year, or an age; posterity are virtually involved in the contest, and will be more or less affected, even to the end of time, by the proceedings now.”
