New Theme & Call for Article Proposals (due September 20th)

We are excited to announce that the theme for our Fall 2019 issue is 'Grappling With Climate Change'! ( Examples of questions you might want to address include: Which policies should be adopted by different regions of the world? What should international and global politics look like if we are to address climate change? What is the future of energy production? How can the most vulnerable communities, who will shoulder increasingly larger burdens as a result of climate changes, be protected? How can we compensate migrants and refugees already displaced by the effects of climate change?, etc.)
All contributors are encouraged and invited to write on theme, but this is not mandatory - the Journal has an 'independent articles' section, so feel free to run your original proposals by us.

All article proposals are due on September 20th.
An article proposal should consist of 1 paragraph about the topic of your article and a tentative thesis - this does not have to be the final idea for your article, it will just help us assign you to a particular editor.

Please email your proposals to [email protected] and [email protected].

Please join us this evening at 8 pm in Mandel G11 for our first meeting of the semester. Come meet our editorial team, learn the theme for the Fall 2019 issue, and find out how you can become a writer for the Journal.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Hi all,

Our first meeting will be this Thursday at 5pm in SCC Room 314. Please let us know if you want to write this semester but can't make it!

Also, please note that article proposals are due next Sunday, February 3rd. We will talk about the theme during our meeting, but since the first deadline is coming up soon, we thought it'd be helpful to get you start thinking about it sooner rather than later. Please let us know if you have any questions!

See you this Thursday.

Best,
Us three

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! We are excited to announce the journal’s topic for the Spring semester and invite you to submit article proposals.
The new theme is "The Old World Order? New Perspectives on the Post-World War II International Order" We invite writers to examine the legacy, current state, and prospects of the liberal international order and/or international institutions created after the Second World War (e.g. the United Nations, NATO, the European Union, the Bretton Woods institutions, etc.) in light of recent international developments. Articles can be both focused and broad in scope (focusing on one country or institutional actor, doing a comparative analysis, or taking a global perspective).
The article proposals (one paragraph explaining the main argument you want to make) should be submitted by email to [email protected] and [email protected]. While we encourage everyone to write articles on the theme, we also welcome proposals that are unrelated or only tangentially related to it. Please reach out to us with any questions. We look forward to reading your article proposals!

Best wishes,
Lauren, Martin & Sonia
