New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp (NECYSC)

The New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp (NECYSC) started in 1987 and is held at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. 2026 will mark our 40th year running!

NECYSC is organized by a rotating committee of volunteers who work to bring this cultural camp to the community each year. NECYSC is a non-profit group, affiliated with the Greater Boston Chinese Cultural Association (GBCCA).

Fun Fact! 😲
The Lantern Festival occurs on the 15th day of the Lunar Month, marking the first full moon 🌝 and symbolizing family unity 🫂, hope ♥️, and new beginnings! 🌷

We hope you enjoyed some yummy tāng yuáns 😋💗(sweet rice balls) and had a wonderful Lunar New Year! ☺️🫶

Established in 1986, the New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp (NECYSC) is a non-profit summer camp dedicated to providing cultural enrichment and fostering community spirit for Chinese-American youth. Hosted at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, our week-long summer camp serves children ages 6-15, offering a variety of engaging programs, including Day Camp, Overnight Camp, and ExplorAsian.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table at the GBCCA open house! It was great reconnecting with past campers and meeting new faces 🌟 . We would also like to thank GBCCA for inviting us to such an amazing event ❤️

We are now coming to a close for our Group Spotlights 🥲, so let’s enjoy the fun and excitement of ExplorAsian!! 🎉🍜🌅🪭❤️‍🔥

EA had one of the most eventful weeks in EA history🔥🔥, with a trip to the Aquarium 🐠🐙🐡, the annual Hot-Pot trip 🍲🍜, and a joint Talent Show 🎤🎭with Overnight!

One of EA’s most 🪷memorable ⚡️ moments throughout the week was enjoying the movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters! 🎆 🐅🐦‍⬛🎙️More on that 👀: The EA Dance 🪩 theme was also K-Pop Demon Hunters! 🤍

EA also had such an amazing time with the Shark Tank 🦈evening activity, where EA campers were split into groups and presented fun ideas! 💡

💗 Thank you to all the parents, committee members, and staff who made this week possible and provided numerous wonderful activities which allowed our Group Spotlight series to be so vibrant and beautiful! 💫☺️
