New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp (NECYSC)

New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp (NECYSC) The New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp (NECYSC) started in 1987 and is held at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. 2026 will mark our 40th year running!

NECYSC is organized by a rotating committee of volunteers who work to bring this cultural camp to the community each year. NECYSC is a non-profit group, affiliated with the Greater Boston Chinese Cultural Association (GBCCA).

Swimmy, sunny days on campus! ✨ Another day, another 24 hours full of AWESOME memories made 🍎

Day explored new classes and had a blast at swim 🐳
🎇 ON cheered and awed at a stellar CIT Dress-up 🧥

EA closed off the night with Shark Tank 📈👔 and presented their pitches with the utmost confidence 😊

[NECYSC WEEK RECAP] Monday, July 27!

We had the FDOC and got to enjoy the first full fun day of camp ✨ All programs enjoyed exciting classes ranging from calming coloring classes to doing crazy tricks with yo-yo!! Did you know you could use a badminton racket in Chinese yo-yo?!

ON and Day relished in a rambunctious carnival and saw through to all our fan-favorites: face painting, cookie and donut challenges, and topple tower
EA campers ending with a thrilling game night, playing blackjack, B.S., and poker!

The week has just begun! 💥

The Lantern Festival occurs on the 15th day of the Lunar Month, marking the first full moon 🌝 and symbolizing family unity 🫂, hope ♥️, and new beginnings! 🌷

Established in 1986, the New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp (NECYSC) is a non-profit summer camp dedicated to providing cultural enrichment and fostering community spirit for Chinese-American youth. Hosted at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, our week-long summer camp serves children ages 6-15, offering a variety of engaging programs, including Day Camp, Overnight Camp, and ExplorAsian.
