The following is the Constitution that we follow:

Mission Statement
To promote awareness of the numerous opportunities available in healthcare, and health-related fields, specifically in the areas of Allopathic, Osteopathic, and Veterinary medicine, Dentistry, and Public health, amongst Brandeis pre-health students. This body will instill the values of its members by recognizing achie
vement in pre-health scholarship, maintaining diverse and salubrious social relationships, and serving as a role model in the Brandeis community to the best of its ability. Membership
Membership is open to any Brandeis student pursuing or interested in a pre-health course of study. To be considered an active member of the Pre-Health Society, a student is required to attend at least one "social" and one "academic" event [or is required to attend two events, one of a social nature, and one of an academic nature-allows us to be able to spell that out as we go along as opposed to here], as well as be present at two public meetings of the Society, per semester. Membership will be evaluated each semester. Meetings
Two different types of meetings will be held throughout the semester: public meetings, in which all active members are invited to attend, and Executive Board meetings, in which only the Executive Board members can be in attendance. Titles and Roles of Executive Board Officers
The Executive Board will be comprised of a Presidency, one Vice Presidency representative of each of the four disciplines of the Society, namely Allopathic and Osteopathic medicine, Veterinary medicine, Dentistry, and Public Health, a Secretary, and a Treasurer. No more than a maximum of three persons shall occupy the position of President, nor shall more than two persons occupy any individual Vice Presidency. There can only be one co-Vice Presidency of any one discipline per semester. President
Announce and preside over both executive board and public meetings. Oversee all operations and activities of the Society. Supervise and aid the Treasurer in obtaining and distributing Society funds. Ensure the adequate publicity of all Society events. Vice President
Lead public meetings every semester. Organize events pertaining to their respective disciplines. Assist in the successful ex*****on of all Society events and activities. Secretary
Record the minutes and attendance at all public and executive board meetings. Maintain lists of active Society members. Submit events and activities to be approved of by the Conference and Event Services Department. Treasurer
Maintain financial records of the society. Formally request funding from the F-board. Advise Society members of the use and distribution of funds. Elections
Executive Board members are elected through a simple ballot by a simply majority of the active members present at the election. Elections will be held at the last public meeting of the spring semester. Each officer's term lasts one academic year, beginning with their election, and ending at the following year's election. Adoption of the Constitution
This Constitution will be adopted after a simply majority of members approves of it by secret ballot. Constitution Amendment Procedures
All amendments to this Constitution will go into effect after a two-thirds majority of members by secret ballot. Statement of Non-Exclusivity
The Pre-Health Society is open to all members of the Brandeis community. The Pre-Health Society does not discriminate against members on the basis of s*x, race, religion, s*xual preference, class, age, nationality, or physical ability. Statement Defining Club as Chartered
