Today, we came together as a community to celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, and serves as a reminder of the ongoing pursuit of freedom, equality, and justice.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Waltham Common for a day of music, performances, contributions from local vendors, fun activities, and meaningful conversation and connection. It was truly inspiring to see our community gather to learn, celebrate, and honor all that Juneteenth represents.

A huge shout-out to our amazing staff, performers, vendors, volunteers, partners, and attendees for making today's celebration so special. We are grateful to celebrate alongside you!

From Waltham to the World Cup! On Saturday, 27 middle and high school members from the Waltham Boys & Girls Club, joined by nine chaperones, experienced the excitement of the Haiti vs. Scotland FIFA World Cup Match at Gillette Stadium.

This opportunity was made possible through a statewide ticket initiative announced by Governor Maura Healey in collaboration with the MA Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. We are profoundly grateful for both of their efforts in providing such a life-changing, unforgettable experience for our members.
