SPECTRUM: Community Service and Disability Awareness SPECTRUM is now a part of the Waltham Group at Brandeis University. Support. Progress. Empowerment. Communication. Trust. Respect. Understanding. Motivation.

We are a Brandeis University Waltham Group program dedicated to working with kids with special needs in the greater Waltham area, and providing awareness and information! SPECTRUM was founded at Brandeis University in late 2009 as a club to support all people who have lived with a disability, have loved ones with disabilities, are curious or want to work with disabilities, and be a place of suppor

t for anyone on campus regardless of their background. Since being founded the group has expanded to include community service to aid children and families in the Waltham Community as well as educate and serve as a place to connect and understand on Brandeis campus. Members can choose to be active through helping children in the community, working on education/awareness events, or going to meetings to share about their experiences. That is what SPECTRUM is all about.

Our educational outreach for Spread the Word to End the Word was super successful! We had over 100 Brandeis students and faculty members pledge respect for people of all abilities. Thanks to everyone who participated, and thank you to our wonderful kids who helped us prepare for it!
