A "take-a-book, leave-a-book" lending library which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and experience. Please only take one or two books at a time.

The Little Q***r Library is a specialized "Little Library" with books that focus on the q***r experience, catering to the Waltham, MA community and beyond. We are a "take-a-book, leave a book" style library, so we are always accepting donations to our collection. While we offer this resource "for free" to the community, when entire shelves of books are taken at a time, it makes it less viable for us to continue to provide this resource.

This past week, we donated 7 Spanish language LGBTQ+ books to the John F Kennedy Middle School in Waltham. Unfortunately, books in languages other than English that center LGBTQ+ folks can be hard to come by, so we are so excited to be able to provide these types of books to Kennedy students!

It's that time of year again! We love Halloween, but we tend to not get many trick-or-treaters since we're on a main road. It would absolutely make our spooky season if you stopped by Friday night!

We'll have XL and full size candy bars, plus small plushies and other toys for those who don't want or can't have candy. And, just like the last year, you can also Choose Potato!

It's also a great excuse to stop by the library and grab one of the many LGBTQ+ books we have available right now!

Make Waltham a safe place for your trans and gender-diverse neighbors!

A resolution has been put forward to make Waltham a sanctuary city for trans and gender-diverse people. It's time to make your voice heard and encourage our City Council to pass the resolution.

What can you do to help?

1. Call your councilor and ask them to vote to declare Waltham will not cooperate with Federal and State policies that aim to hurt transgender and gender-diverse people and ensure they have access to healthcare, housing, education and employment.

Sun, June 1st - 🌈 Framingham OUT on the Block Party🌈 (hosted by OUT MetroWest), 2-6pm in the City Hall parking lot

Sun, June 8th - 🌈 Waltham Pride 🌈, 11am-4pm on the Waltham Common

Sat, June 21st - 🌈 Franklin Celebrate with Pride 2025 🌈 (hosted by Franklin LGBTQ Alliance), 12-4pm on the Franklin Town Common

Plus, as always, we'll have LGBTQ+ books available in our lending library at 1054 Trapelo Rd in Waltham!
