Let's cook together! Join us for our Culinary Explorations class starting March 14! This class is free to those 60+ and will provide opportunities to learn new culinary techniques and experience foods that are flavorful, creative and prepared from fresh ingredients. Course topics include curries, sourdough breads, satisfying sweets, hearty vegetarian dishes, and learning how to use ingredients that are not commonly found in the average American pantry. Students with any level of culinary experience are welcome but enrollment is limited to 12 students! 📢Public Announcement: 2021 Rice Festival Dates 📢

To clear up confusion surrounding this year’s Rice Festival, we would like to announce that the festival WILL NOT be held on the originally scheduled dates of April 24-25th due to continued COVID restrictions. The new tentative festival dates will be June 4th-5th PENDING APPROVAL from Mayor Bill Young and City Council. The new dates will be voted on during the April 6th City Council meeting. We will provide an update following that meeting. Stay tuned to our page and website for the most up-to-date and accurate information.

Clemson University would like to notify stakeholders and the public that changes concerning the State Plant Pest List are open for comment. The comment period is now open and will be closing February 23, 2021. Written comments may be submitted to: The Department of Plant Industry, at 511 Westinghouse Road, Pendleton, SC 29670 or by email at [email protected] . Please see attached flyer and consider sharing with anyone that might be affected. These changes are considered in order to protect our environment from further damage caused by invasive plant species.
