We are a 40 acre, 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization Animal Sanctuary nestled upon a mountain in southern Colorado. Also southern Colorado's first farm rescue and animal sanctuary. We provide lifelong care to disabled, special needs, abused, neglected, rescued, rehomed etc animals in need. Mountain View Sanctuary is the lifelong dream of founder

, Deidra Fellers. Our mission is simple: "Lifelong Love"

To provide a loving, safe, lifelong sanctuary for animals in need. To rescue and educate about compassion and veganism. We take in what animals we can, who then become permanent residents. Donations pay for all veterinary care and daily needs (feed, hay, minerals, supplements, medications, veterinary care, wellbeing, enrichment, equipment, supplies, housing, expansions, repairs etc).

Honoring Our Beloved Friends on Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🌈🐾

​Today, on Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we pause to honor and remember all of the cherished animal friends—dogs, cats, rescued farm animals, and companions of all kinds—who brought endless love and light into our lives.

​Though they are no longer by our side, their memory stays with us in every quiet moment across the fields. We hold space today for everyone who has loved and lost an animal companion. Below is Elwood, our first rescue who was critical upon intake and first became our loss. Such an important soul for the sanctuary, he had a gigantic impact on the future of MVS and we can never thank him enough.

🐶 Today is National Dog Day!

MVS is home to a few special and special needs pups. Each having their own amazing story of overcoming the odds, determination and finding endless love.

🐶 Would you help us celebrate National Dog Day by donating for Maia's spay fund (she's a special needs girl who needs to have her spay done with more of a one on one approach with our vets with individual monitoring vs a high volume spay/neuter event setting due her current special needs and potential underlying health issues). It would be the safest option for her as she can have the individual care, monitoring and the least amount of stress. Right now her initial appt is in November with her spay about 2 weeks later (unless we can get a sooner appt at our other vets).

🐶 We could also use washable puppy p*e pads, we use multiples of those every single day keeping our special needs residents happy, clean and dry. Those can be found in the dachshund wish list lower in this post.

📦 With today also being Wish List Wednesday, we want to take a second and thank whomever purchased a carrier off of our wish list. Thank you!
