IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – SPAY & NEUTER CLINIC Tomorrow, 6/13/26 📢

We understand there was a confusing email that went out a little bit ago. We are partnered with a veterinarian in Colorado Springs for this clinic. The Spay & Neuter Clinic will be held in Walsenburg at:

📍 Huerfano County Community Center
928 Russell Avenue
Walsenburg, CO

🐾 CHECK-IN INFORMATION:
• Check-in time is between 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM
• Please line up outside the building upon arrival in your vehicle.
• Everyone must remain in their vehicle with their dog(s)
• Staff will check you in at the back of the building

Want to spend a day surrounded by wagging tails, grateful pets, and some pretty amazing people?

Los Huerfanos Animal Welfare Association is looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming Spay/Neuter & Vaccine Clinics, and we'd love to have you join us!

✨ No veterinary experience needed!
✨ Just a willingness to help and a love for animals.

Volunteer tasks may include:
🐶 Helping comfort pets during recovery
🧺 Laundry and cleaning
💪 Assisting with lifting and moving dogs
🏗️ Setup and teardown
❤️ Being part of a team that's making a real difference in our community

Our clinics help local families access affordable pet care and prevent unwanted litters, but we can't do it without volunteers.

Whether you can help for a few hours or the entire day, every helping hand matters.

🐾💙 1 Day Spay Neuter Clinic is Coming to Walsenburg! 💙🐾

Los Huerfanos Animal Welfare Association is excited to offer low-cost spay/neuter for dogs on Saturday, June 13, 2026!

We will be providing spay/neuter services for 20 dogs:
🐶 10 Female Dogs
🐶 10 Male Dogs
⚖️ Dogs must be 75 lbs or less
💵 $35: Includes spay or Neuter, Rabies & Parvo distemper vaccines & microchip!

This is a great opportunity to help protect your pets' health while also helping reduce pet overpopulation in our community.

T-Rex is a former Huerfano County dog that we helped neuter and vaccinate and From Forgotten to Forever Rescue helped find a forever home. Sadly, his leg couldn't be saved after an accident that happened before he went to rescue. They need help paying off his vet bill. Can you help?
