Boyden 5K and Fun Run

Boyden 5K and Fun Run The Boyden Running Club sponsors the 5k and fun Run as a fundraiser for the Boyden Elementary Parent Activity Council each year.

The Boyden Running Club is an after-school program for Boyden students in grades K -5. The goals of running club are to teach the basics of running, proper warm-up, stretching and nutrition, and gradual building of duration and endurance. We hope to develop a life-long love for running that encourages self-esteem, goal setting, perseverance and determination and a fit body and soul. Running Club m

eets twice a year, fall and spring. Each session is held weekly for 4 weeks. The goal for the Fall Running Club is to have the students compete in the 1 Mile Fun Run. The goal for the Spring Running Club is for the students in grades 3-5 to compete at the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) Relay Challenge on Boylston St. in Boston, just past the Boston Marathon finish line.

The Boston Athletic Association relay races for students in 3rd-8th grade are this Saturday in Boston. We are looking for a few more runners. Time commitment is 11am-4pm. Anyone interested please email Joe Grant at [email protected]

We are submitting our roster tomorrow so don’t delay. We welcome runners of all abilities.

Don’t miss out on the Third Annual Jarvis Farm Obstacle Challenge. This Sunday 11/5 registration from 10am-11am with races starting at 11am. We have some new obstacles that will be sure to challenge all racers. Mud preparations have already begun so plan on getting good and dirty.

What else will you do with that extra hour of daylight savings? Why not spend it at Jarvis Farm with temps in the 60’s it will be a blast. On the line registration will be open until tomorrow at 3:00.

Online registration is now closed. You can still register at the race Saturday morning between 8am-9am. It's looking to be a great fall day so come down and get your race on. Not a great day tomorrow to hang at the beach, but it will be perfect weather for a road race. Check out the Walpole Labor Day road race tomorrow at Walpole High School. Online registration closes tonight at 5:00pm but you can also register at the race in the morning.
