✨Facutly Spotlight ✨

“I’m Tim Walker, Assistant Professor of Christian Ministries. Our family moved to WBU a year ago from Biloxi, MS after five years of serving on staff at FBC Biloxi as their Pastoral Care Pastor. My first year here at WBU, I had the pleasure of teaching Christian Worldview, Philosophy, and several of our Christian Ministries classes, such as Pastoral Ministry, Preaching, and Evangelism. My family has experienced the tight knit community among staff, faculty, and students that is unique to WBU, building life long relationships with colleges and students. Our students at WBU are always humble and hungry to learn what Jesus means for their lives and worldview. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the WBU family who seek to lead our students in the Williams Way, sending them out into the world as faithful, servant Christ-followers in their local churches, communities, and marketplace.”

This summer we will be introducing The Student Affairs Staff to help new students be prepared when they arrive on campus!

Next we have our Director of Housing Mike Dixon. He is in charge of all on campus housing and intramural sports!

Hobbies: Watching movies, collecting albums, traveling with the wife, playing golf, and reading, making coffee

✨ Alum Spotlight ✨

“I joined the Williams Works program as a sophomore and never dreamed that it would have such a profound impact on my life. I began work on the farm, but as I became an upperclassman looking for small steps to assist me in my business career, Dr. Cooper had begun a partnership with WatersEdge Ministry Accounting. They were hiring a few interns to work remotely from school. When I heard this I knew that it would be an extremely good experience for me as I begin my career in business. Dr. Cooper set me up for an interview and I was hired by WatersEdge. I spent my senior year interning with WatersEdge learning all about becoming an accountant. I will say I never dreamed of doing accounting, however as I began my internship I began enjoying my job especially because church accounting is very needed.
WatersEdge offered me a full time position as an accountant and I began working for them the following week after graduation. Having a job right after graduation was a goal of mine as well as my professors at WBU. It was a relief to have it accomplished. I enjoy my job and look forward to more experiences it will bring me. God placed these opportunities in front of me and I trust that He will continue to guide me where He wants me to serve. I am thankful for the people at WBU that assisted me in starting my career.”

✨Alum Spotlight✨

​“My experience at Williams Baptist University was incredible throughout my entire 4 years spent there. I came in as a homeschool graduate, excited to start my new chapter in life. I felt as if God had lead me to this school, and I continued to feel Him lead me through the people there. The professors were very encouraging in and out of classes, and helped build my confidence. I made friendships that will last a lifetime. I was able to step outside my comfort zone and apply myself to theater and other student activities. The Cast helped to grow my faith, and provided me with a support group that I could rely on, no matter the circumstances I faced. Through the social events and clubs, I was able to take advantage of opportunities that encouraged leadership and revealed the career path I should take. I have Williams and the professors that encouraged me along the way to thank for my decision to pursue a career as a Wildlife Biologist.” - Kaylen Doss
