Community Fest was a great success!

We were glad to see so many families and community members come together today at the Hoxie Community Center for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and entertainment.

A special thank you goes to the City of Hoxie’s elected officials, staff, and volunteers for organizing and hosting this event for our community. From the food and live music to the water activities and family fun, Community Fest provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect and enjoy time together.

We appreciate the City’s continued efforts to create events that bring people together and strengthen our sense of community.

Drop some of your photos and share your favorite moments from the day!

💡 Membership Is More Than a Dues Payment

When businesses invest in the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, they're investing in opportunities to connect, grow, and make an impact.

That's one of the reasons the Chamber will transition to an Investment Tier Membership Model beginning in January 2027.

The goal isn't simply to change how membership is structured. It's to provide clearer visibility into the opportunities available through Chamber membership and help businesses better align their investment with their goals.

Whether your focus is networking, community engagement, business visibility, workforce development, tourism, or advocacy, Chamber membership remains a partnership in strengthening both your business and Lawrence County.

As a reminder, no membership changes will take place in 2026. This year is dedicated to education, communication, and conversation as we prepare for the new structure in 2027.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us today for the Arkansas Historic Preservation Tax Credit Workshop in Portia!

We are especially grateful to Revis Edmonds and the Arkansas Division of Heritage and Arkansas Historic Preservation Program for sharing valuable information about historic preservation tax credits, rehabilitation incentives, and redevelopment opportunities available throughout Arkansas.

We would also like to thank Mayor Butch Vance, Council Member Lacey Robinette, and the City of Portia for graciously accommodating today’s workshop at Portia City Hall, located in the historic Old Portia School Building. The venue provided the perfect setting for a discussion centered on preserving and investing in the places that tell our community’s story.

Partnerships like these help strengthen our communities, preserve our heritage, and create opportunities for future growth.

Thank you to everyone who attended and invested their time in learning more about the tools and resources available to support historic preservation in Lawrence County and beyond.
