Walnut Grove Area Foundation 2025 Grant Application Now Open!
Below you will find the 2025 Walnut Grove Area Foundation Grant Application link.
Application deadline is Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Applications will be reviewed by the Walnut Grove Area Foundation's board at its February meeting.

All applications MUST HAVE following information. PLEASE NOTE SOME OF THESE ITEMS ARE NEWER. If you are unable to supply the following, please give an explanation why.
1) Name of Organization and contact information - phone and email of person submitting request.
2) Tax Status: 501c Government, Public agency, Other. Must have federal tax ID on application!
3) Type of Project: Arts, Historic Preservation, Education, Economic Development, Health and Social Services
4) A summary of your project with any corresponding information attached.
a) Geographic area served by your project.
b) Beginning and End date of project.
c) Total dollars requested and match funds from other sources.
d) Itemized budget WITH supporting materials (quotes or estimated costs)
e) How will the project be funded in the future?
f) Is this request for start-up funding of an annual event/project or a one-time request?
Supporting documents must be attached to your online application. At the end of the online application there is a spot to upload supporting documents. If you have issues uploading your documents, please email them to [email protected].
In addition, we would like to formally invite all grant applicants to attend our WGAF Board meeting Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the WWG Elementary School Board Room in Walnut Grove to present your projects and answer any questions the WGAF Board may have.
Awardees will be asked to complete a final report updating the Board on the project and how funds were spent when it is completed.

The Walnut Grove Area Foundation is organized as a community fund of the Southwest Initiative Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, which allows gifts to the Walnut Grove Area Foundation to be tax deductible to the full extent of the law. WGAF has a local advisory board responsible for establishing its purpose and priorities, as well as building relationships with donors and grant recipients, while SWIF provides technical assistance to ensure Walnut Grove’s success, in addition to coordinating compliance with all state and federal charitable giving regulations. The mission statement of the WGAF is to build an endowment that responds to the needs and opportunities of the community through innovative thinking, grant-making, and scholarships and leave a legacy for the future.
