⚡ CHEAP CHARGER? DON’T CHANCE IT.

Here’s a question for you:

🔌 Do you use the charger and cord that came with your device—or do you have a drawer full of chargers and cords that you grab when you need one? 👀

We get it. It’s easy to grab whatever charger is handy. But not all chargers are created equal.

Whenever possible, use the cord and charger that came with your device or ones approved by the manufacturer. Using the wrong charger can damage the battery, cause overheating, and increase the risk of a fire.

💬 We want to hear from you!

What questions do you have about chargers, batteries, or safe charging?

Drop your questions in the comments. There are no silly questions when it comes to fire safety—and if you’re wondering about it, someone else probably is too!

❤️‍🔥 Let’s learn together and CHARGE INTO FIRE SAFETY!

🌧️ FLOODING SAFETY REMINDER – ETOWAH COUNTY 🌧️
Heavy rainfall from Hurricane Isaias may cause flash flooding, especially in low‑lying and poor‑drainage areas across Etowah County.
If you see flooding or flooded roadways, remember these important safety tips:
🚫 NEVER drive into flooded roads
Just 6–12 inches of moving water can sweep a vehicle away.
Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
🌊 Avoid areas near rivers, streams, and creeks
Water can rise much faster than expected and may have strong currents.
🚶 Do NOT walk through floodwaters
Even shallow water can knock you off your feet — and you cannot see hazards below the surface.
🚗 Do not bypass barricades
They are placed for your safety. Floodwaters may be deeper or faster‑moving than they appear.
🏠 If water begins rising near your home
Move to higher ground immediately and avoid basements or low‑lying areas.
📸 Do not take risks for photos or videos
Stay safe — leave the flood documentation to professionals.
📡 Stay Informed
Monitor Etowah County EMA, NOAA Weather Radio, and the National Weather Service for updates.
Stay safe, Etowah County! 🙏🛟
Your safety is our priority.
