DOWNTOWN LIVERMORE · OCTOBER – NOVEMBER 2026

The Great Elephant Migration is coming to Livermore, CA

⚜30 life-size elephant sculptures
⚜The herd’s only stop on the West Coast in 2026
⚜Free to the public, in the heart of Downtown Livermore

Have you heard about the herd?
The Great Elephant Migration is a public art exhibition of life-size Indian elephants, a global fundraising adventure to amplify Indigenous knowledge and inspire the human race to share space. Each elephant is modeled on a real animal in southern India’s Nilgiri Hills. Around 200 Indigenous artisans of the Coexistence Collective built them by hand from lantana camara, an invasive w**d that crowds elephants out of the forests they depend on.

Harvesting the w**d used to make the sculptures contributes to restoring the habitat. Special exhibits and sales of the sculptures help fund the mission. Across the tour, proceeds support more than 20 conservation groups working on human and wildlife coexistence. Thirty of these elephants will travel to Downtown Livermore this Fall, continuing their journey to share their story with the world.

The Earth Day planting and litter clean up was a giant success. Keep Oakland Beautiful managed to rally a ton of sponsors, volunteers, advocates to flip this block rightside up after being upside down for so long.
We contributed our part by adding a bit of an art gallery to this location. The residents, businesses as well as BART and 880 commuters all get to enjoy a much safer, happier 1700 block in East Oakland
Latest artwork rendered beautifully with care and intention by “T”
More to come with team up🤝

An excellent campaign to reclaim your neighborhood by Keep Oakland Beautiful. Combatting massive illegal dumping and vandalism that has caused severe squalor, KOB shows how to rally multitudes as a model to make neighborhoods safer block by block
No agenda. Just love. Christina Porter leading the charge and hats off to you!
Keep Oakland Beautiful is all volunteer run, just like 333 Arts. It shows how much you can accomplish with passion, discipline, tenacity as well as patience.
