Soroptimist International of 24-680 We are a group of women who care about making a difference in the lives of women and children -- in our community, our country, and throughout the world.

Soroptimist International of 24-680 was founded in the Walnut Creek – Lafayette area in October of 2005 and through our past fundraising efforts we have raised over $150,000 for the local community and international causes supported by Soroptimist International. We are a nonprofit worldwide service organization of business and professional women who contribute time and funding targeted toward our

mission of improving the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment in education, environment, health, human rights, and international good will. As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization some the local causes that Soroptimist International of 24-680 have supported include:
• Scholarships for young women transitioning out of foster care
• Community women’s shelters, family crisis, and violence center donations
• Human trafficking education to end modern-day slavery in our communities
• Get Real Academy, an educational life skills day for at-risk high school senior girls
