What do Band Boosters do? 🧐

Last year, the Saura Band Boosters:
-Fundraising! We recycled old band uniforms into keepsake pillows which we sold. We gathered donations and held a yard sale. We also asked local restaurants to host Saura Band spirit nights with a percentage of sales going to the band. We hosted an amazing Paint Night! We sold Saura hoodies.
-We asked local businesses and churches to feed the band before home games. Boosters helped organize, serve and clean up.
-Found parents willing to donate water for the band for all events and help clean up the band area of the stand after games.
-Organized the band uniform room.
-Started a small lending closet for black concert attire.
-Purchased maroon bow ties for percussionists since we wanted the band to look cohesive but didn’t have enough uniforms.
-Addressed the school board asking for help purchasing enough uniforms to outfit the whole band.
-Helped chaperone at away games, parades, Stokes Stomp, Walnut Cove Christmas Tree Lighting.
-Helped serve lunch at North Stokes during All-County Band.
Hosted senior recognition events during the fall for marching band and during the spring for concert band.
-And finally, re-booted the Saura Band Boosters page to share information, photos and videos of THE ONE and ONLY SAURA BAND!
