Troop 5- meet at Sheehan at 9:30am Monday morning for a Memorial Day ceremony. The parade is cancelled.
We will be part of the opening ceremony and present the flags of the various services. If the Dag band isn’t part of the service tomorrow I hope those Scouts can be with the troop.

Today Scouts from Troop 5 joined many others across our town in honoring our fallen veterans and their families by placing American flags at their graves. Loyalty and Reverence are two points of the Scout law that were on full display today.
Never forget the sacrifices that our men and women in uniform make for us.

3,491 feet. Mount Greylock. The highest peak in Mass. Troop 5 used it as a training hike for our High Adventure trip this summer. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

Boy Scout Troop 5 Wallingford, CT prepping to summit Mount Greylock, Massachusetts' highest point. Each patrol cooked a hearty breakfast including oatmeal with fruit, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, pancakes and sausage. Each Scout then prepared a lunch and snacks for the hike. Then, some of our new Scouts led us through an opening ceremony. It was a good start to a great day!

We had a fun ending to our troop meeting last night. I have no idea what the game is called….but all the Scouts loved it.

The 2026 Troop 5 John & David Holloway Scholarship Dinner is in the books! Thank you to everyone who supported this event and our Scouts. A special thanks to Dean, Rich and Tyler for spending the entire day in the kitchen and delivering a delicious meal.
