HCC of Wallingford The Club was started in 1918 by local Hungarians as a place to gather to share a common culture, food, language, and music.

Today we keep the traditions alive that were handed down from the generation that started the club to generations to come.

Join us at the Hungarian Community Club of Wallingford for a wonderful evening of traditional Hungarian flavors, fine wines, and great company!

Looking Ahead to November!

Our Hungarian W**e Tasting Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 6:00 PM, featuring Hungarian favorites paired with wines selected to complement each course.

Our annual Thanksgiving Food Sale begins November 1, featuring stuffed cabbage and kolbász. More details coming soon!

All events are open to the public.

We cannot thank everyone enough for coming out in the rain and supporting our Hungarian Festival!

Thank you to our vendors— Lazlo Hungarian Meat Emporium, Ditti's Sweets, Dori's Kitchenmagic, Pálmi's Confections, Handmade by Trixi Jewelry, Reconnect Hungary Birthright Program, Tommy’s Kitchen & Jar Goods, WMRE - Wallingfordi Magyar Református Egyház (the Hungarian Reformed Church), and Magyar Apparel.

Bravo to the Fėnyes Banda and the Csűrdöngölő Folk Ensemble for the wonderful music and dancing.

A special thank-you to our Festival Committee who spent weeks preparing and the volunteers who moved everything indoors at the last minute including our Scout Troop. We are also grateful to our generous donors, Abbey Tent & Party Rentals, Bethlen Gábor and the The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.

Most importantly, thank you to our patrons for braving the weather and patiently waiting in line. Your support helps us continue the club’s mission—established in 1918—of preserving Hungarian food, culture, traditions, and language.

Don’t let a little rain stop you! We have plenty of indoor seating in both our upstairs hall and downstairs area, so you can enjoy the festival comfortably.
