Wallingford Rotary is proud to launch our 8th Annual Flags for Heroes program! From Memorial Day through Independence Day, hundreds of American flags will fly on Masonic Hill in honor of the heroes who have made a difference in our lives.

You can sponsor a flag in honor of a veteran, first responder, teacher, healthcare worker, family member, mentor or anyone you consider a hero โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

Each sponsored flag includes recognition of your hero on our website, social media and event materials.

The Wallingford Rotary Club invites everyone to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Mark Gingras Memorial Mural Project on Saturday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at Simpson Court downtown.

Mark Gingras was a longtime Wallingford Rotary member, a passionate community advocate, and someone who worked hard to make Wallingford a better place for everyone. This mural stands as a lasting tribute to his creativity, generosity, and love for our town.

We encourage residents, friends and neighbors to come out and celebrate Markโ€™s legacy, and the continued beautification of downtown Wallingford ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ

The Wallingford Foundation, the charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Wallingford, has announced the availability of grant funds for these organizations ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ‘

Thanks again to this weekโ€™s speaker, Lorraine Westervelt, who spoke about the amazing local charity, Wallingford Workcamp Team. If you know a Wallingford resident who is elderly and/or handicapped and their place of residence needs some work, please do reach out to this awesome charity service ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ The work camp does painting, mobile home skirting, wheelchair ramp construction, weatherizing, step repair, and other similar work ๐Ÿ‘
