Happy Earth Day!!!
Today is the 50th Anniversary for Earth Day and much progress has been made since attention was first brought to the destructive practices damaging our world.
But more work needs to be done.
Consider what you can do to help limit waste, conserve resources and celebrate the beautiful world we call home:
Limit Waste..use bar soap vs. body wash (limits plastic packaging)..don't use any soaps that have tiny plastic pieces used for "exfoliation". They damage ocean ecosystems..recycle any container that says "please recycle" or informs it can be recycled on the label..replace single use products with washable or reusable items : glass storage containers, shower curtains, dryer balls..... DON'T LITTER...please!!!!
Conserve Resources..eat a more plant based diet..compost..reduce shower time..turn off faucets when not in use..bike
Celebrate the World..plant native flowers/seeds that support pollinators..take a hike..plant a tree..cut out invasive plant species..stop to appreciate the flowers growing, birds chirping, clouds passing and all that is part of this beautiful natural world
"It is our collective and individual responsibility...to preserve and tend to the world in which we all live."
