Christmas 2026! This will make my 21st Christmas painting in my series. (I don’t know when I will stop…I guess when the ideas stop 🤷‍♀️).
This one was sparked by an analogy I found myself using a lot lately. When you feel like you are getting weary on waiting on the Lord or unsure what God really has for you and to go ahead of God. It’s like sitting in the living room Christmas morning and you decide to just pass gifts out without consulting the one who bought and wrapped them and just hand them to whoever. In the opening you realize you opened the wrong gift but you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings so the little girl who asked for a doll is holding up daddies polo shirt that is an XL manly shirt. She thinks: “well maybe I can make this work” 🤪when really she just needed to wait and ask the gift giver to pass them out properly so you can get what was meant for you. Waiting on the Lord seems hard sometimes but necessary to receive the gift that was meant for you! Waiting is a weapon the enemy doesn’t know what to do with! You don’t want to go before God and force anything…that never ends well. I promise the gift he put together for you is GOOD and PERFECT and unforced and it will show up…just like Christmas morning always does…just wait for the gift giver to pass them out properly.
And the universal gift meant for all is Jesus! There is no waiting…salvation is instant and perfect. Once we receive him then comes the life of hearing His voice and perfecting the sweet relationship with him. He says: “here is the way…walk in it.” This is how we end up with only what was meant for us. He designed it that way so we would keep communion with Him. Everything good in your life…truly good comes from above. Merry Christmas 🎁 …in August lol 😂 I really do get asked all summer when my Christmas painting is coming out! 😂 So here it is! Don’t worry I have plenty of Fall paintings too..stay tuned!
