There is still room for more registrations for "Reach Beyond the Stars"!! Information and online registration can be found at www.gewallawalla.com. Brochures are available at the YWCA and at area schools. Don't miss this exciting STEM opportunity for fifth through eighth grade girls.

Do you know any 5th - 8th grade girls? On Saturday, March 9, they can attend the 2019 "Reach Beyond the Stars" Great Explorations at Whitman College. Hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) workshops and Keynote by Liz MacDonald, a NASA researcher who grew up in Walla Walla. The $5 registration includes lots of bling and lunch (and scholarships are available). For more info and to register on-line, see www.gewallawalla.com. Look for more Great Explorations information later this month, with registration opening on February 4th!! Some of the fun new workshops for 2019 include "Electricity in the Brain," "Magical Chemistry," "Zoetrope Animations," "Think Like a Plant, and " Sweet Treat DNA Modeling." Join other 5th through 8th grade girls from throughout Walla Walla Valley for this fun March 9th event.
