In October, we planted bulbs, daffodils and anemones, so that in the spring we all would enjoy the beautiful flowers. It's Christmas Eve but our bulbs didn't get the memo! The weather has been so unseasonably mild that we have new grass growing and bulbs sprouting already.

It's a great reminder that nothing happens on a prescribed schedule and we have to do our best to be prepared to support our community as life happens, however it may.

We hope your holiday season is full of warmth and connection, two things we work very hard to ensure our participants have as well. If you are able, please consider helping us support them through a financial gift. Regardless of the amount, your donation helps ensure meaningful care for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, resulting in safer, more connected community for us all.

Our High Tea ☕️ Fundraiser was truly something special. We had an incredible turnout, and are so thankful for the many local businesses, volunteers, and community members who poured their time, talent, and hearts into making this event such a success. The details were thoughtful, the conversations were warm, it all came together beautifully.

This gathering was more than just a lovely afternoon🩵it was a reminder of what community can look like when we show up for one another.

The STAR Project provides reentry and transition support for justice impacted individuals through wraparound services, internships, and meaningful community connection. Events like this help make that work possible while also creating welcoming spaces where everyone belongs.

Hello everyone! My name is Shakira, and I’ll be joining the event as Bye Trades Apothecary to share a little of my magic✨

At a Cup of Cozy, I’ll be serving a selection of my handcrafted tea blends and giving a simple, hands on introduction to how tea is processed ✨from leaf to cup. This experience is a soft, welcoming way for our community ✨as well as participants to be introduced to high tea, herbal traditions, and a touch of etiquette in a fun, accessible way.

Whether you’re curious about herbalism, excited to try new blends, or simply looking for a warm drink on a winter afternoon, we would love for you to stop by✨Let’s share tea, stories, and cozy moments together. 🌿🫖

Happy Halloween! Jump start your candy gathering this afternoon at STAR: from 3-5pm we will have treat bags, games to win even more candy, and raffle prizes. This is best for little ones to elementary ages 🎃

From 5-7pm the games will get harder, the treats will get bigger, and the pizza will be delicious! Game prizes will include gift cards, Boo Baskets, and more. Designed for young adults, we think this will be best for middle school and up.
