This is what animal care cost! These are just a couple of the animals who have been to clinic in the last few weeks. We absolutely love helping the animals with all our hearts and this is just a peak of the bills. There was also a $700 invoice from IHA. We know times are tight for everyone right now! Even if you were able to give five dollars it all adds up to allow us to continue our mission. There's just so so many animals in need and our hearts tell us this is what we should be doing. We are all volunteers giving our all to do our little part for the homeless animals in the area ❤️🐾 Please consider donating to help the animals here now and those who need us in the future 🙏❤️🐾

🍌🐾 Hannah Banana here, and my sniffer has been working OVERTIME! 👃

You smell that?! Fresh-baked goodies? Something delicious cooking? Ohhhh, I know that smell! It's Indeelicious ! 🥐🍪

Turns out they've been cooking up more than delicious food. They've also generously stepped up to support our upcoming Winterland fundraiser!

From the bottom of my food bowl, THANK YOU, Indeelicious, for helping keep us shelter pups warm and cozy this winter! ❤️🐾

Some updates on some of the medical cats.
Morticia was seen by Dr Miller Thursday. Two older bite wounds on her. The one on her rump is healing well, although the one on her front leg the infection is into the bone. She got a antibiotic shot, pain med shot, a xray, was negative on her snap test, and continuing with clavamox.
Owen, found on the gravel road with a horrible upper respiratory infection, severe dehydration. He was accepted into Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids system and they got him into see Dr Ryan at anamosa! Also negative on his snap test. He's eating well, getting a little better and Sassy everyday.
Rimmy the guy who got himself into trouble with his curiosity and a car wheel. Critter crusaders also had him seen at anamosa vet clinic emergency visit. He's been to IHA neutered and his wound is healing nicely. He is a beautiful soul but definitely not happy being around people.
Mr Wanda,🤣, Dave just naming before looking 😹. HE got his eye checked out by Dr Jana this afternoon. There's no eye there and no infection! We think he will be just fine like this,he just may experience some slight drainage from it and if it becomes a issue would close the eye. Very sweet kid but I tell you he protested the entire ride😹 He and sister Willow will go to IHA for their spay neuter surgeries. Thankyou everyone for following along and supporting us out here❤️🐾 🐱🐶

🐾 The Meowfia Has Some Demands! 🐾

We've got a whole lot of whiskers, tiny toe beans, and VERY hungry kitties over here at Funky Paws! 😹

Our feline residents have informed us that the food supply is getting dangerously low, and management is NOT pleased!

Here's what's on their grocery list:

🐱 Wet kitten food – For the tiny criminals still learning how to cat.

🐱 Kitten kibble – Fuel for growing bodies and questionable decisions.

🐱 Purina Naturals kibble – For our distinguished adult freeloaders.

If you're out shopping and can toss an extra bag or a few cans in your cart, we'd be incredibly grateful! ❤️

Donations can be dropped off at the rescue or sent through our Amazon wishlist.

Help us keep the bowls full, the kitties happy, and the feline uprising at bay!

Signed,
The Humans Who Apparently Work for Cats 🐈‍⬛🐾

Willow and Wanda are both just delightful kittens 🥰 we have an appointment Friday to get Wanda a exam on her eye at Bright Eyes and Bushy Tails with Dr Jana. She also volunteers in her down time with the rescue and we couldn't be thankful enough for her!🐾❤️
