Waldwick Comes First — A Message from Mayor Tom Giordano

Dear Waldwick Friends and Neighbors,

As we approach Election Day, I want to share a few thoughts about the community we are fortunate to call home. Waldwick is more than a place on a map. It is our neighborhoods, schools, businesses, parks, traditions, and, most importantly, the people who make this town so special.

Every decision made on behalf of our community should begin with one important question: What is in the best long-term interest of Waldwick? As our town considers important issues involving growth, redevelopment, and financial planning, I believe residents deserve transparency, clear communication, and the opportunity to have their voices heard. Thoughtful, carefully managed growth is an important consideration for any municipality.

Programs such as PILOT agreements deserve careful evaluation, appropriate safeguards, and open discussion, so residents can understand both the potential benefits and the long-term implications. Good government requires collaboration, accountability, and respect for differing opinions. We may not always agree, but our shared commitment to Waldwick should remain at the center of every conversation.

I believe strong communities are built when residents stay engaged, ask thoughtful questions, and participate in the decisions that shape their future. My wife, Marion, and I are proud to call Waldwick home. We deeply value the relationships, traditions, and small-town character that make this community such a wonderful place to live and call home. I will always stand up for the character and small-town spirit that make this community so special

As mayor, I remain committed to listening to our residents, respecting our community’s heritage, and approaching decisions with honesty, common sense, and a long-term perspective. As we approach Election Day, I encourage every resident to become informed about the issues and the candidates appearing on the ballot. Vote thoughtfully. Vote independently. And above all, vote with your conscience. For me this has never been about a political party, it has been about Waldwick.

Think about the kind of leadership that reflects the values of honesty, respect, accountability, and community that we hold dear in Waldwick. Look beyond party labels. Look at the individuals. Look at their experience, their record, their willingness to listen, and their understanding of the issues facing Waldwick.

Ask yourself who will approach difficult questions with an open mind. Who understands that disagreements are part of government and political divisions should never come before the interests of our residents. Regardless of our individual perspectives, we share something important, a community we care deeply about, and a responsibility for its future.

Our voices matter, and together we shape the future of our town. Waldwick is our home, and its future belongs to all of us. Let’s journey together to make Waldwick a community we will always be proud of.

Vote with your heart, your conscience and your love for Waldwick. I know Marion and I will. Waldwick deserves nothing but the best.

Thank you to our Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department for keeping our community safe and teaching our kids to do the same at Fire Prevention Night.

We loved following our little ones from the trucks to the smoke house to a meet and greet with Sparky the Fire Dog. The smiles on their faces said it all!

Thank you to Mayor Giordano for stopping by Traphagen’s Annual Fall Fest to support our kids and the future they represent. We also appreciate former Councilman Andy Brennecke coming out to join in the fun.

They even took a little time to inspect the burger operation. 🍔👀

40% more democrats came out to vote on yesterday's primary than in the mid-term elections 4 years ago (even though this year had no contested primaries). An amazing turnout! Thanks to all of our supporters!
