Waldron Athletic Booster Club met tonight for annual elections.
As outgoing president, I'd like to personally thank former officers and all that have helped to make the WABC successful the past three years...especially Tracy Goddard Williams, Courtney Nicole Tull, Courtney Elaine, Angela Evans Allen, Crystal Moore, and Jada Settle. I could not have made it without you ladies! As the result of their hard work the past three years, the WABC has been able to spend a total of $50,230.61 on sports programs at Waldron High Schools! Way to go, Ladies!
Congratulations to new officers President Nick Hunt, Vice-President Steven Black, Treasurer Tracy Williams, and Co-Secretaries Jada Settle and Le Ann Hill Atchley! Best of luck to you all!

Waldron Athletic Booster Club will meet Monday, August 29, at 5 p.m. in the Waldron high school library. The booster club helps provide the Bulldog athletic programs, 7th through 12th, with items not covered by their respective budgets. In the past two years, we have purchased tarps and new pitching machines for both softball and baseball, a Dr. Dish for the basketball program, provided meals for the athletes attending state events in both track and cross country, helped pay for cheer camp, paid membership to First Tee for the golf program, and purchased a cryotherapy system for use by all sports. Funds for the purchases are made possible through membership dues, sign sponsorships by local businesses, and the annual Waldron Athletic Booster Club golf tournament, but primarily through the work of volunteers in the concession stands at games. If you have a child in school athletics, we need your help to continue growing our sports programs! Please make plans to attend the meeting on Monday, and let your voice be heard!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated, a huge thank you to our hole sponsors, the Waldron Country Club, and all who helped with the tournament...we couldn't have done it without you! Thank you to all the ones who donated their winnings back to the booster club...your generosity will help make it possible to provide much needed equipment to our athletes! Hope to see all of you again next year!
