You can find us at 16965 NW 45 Hwy, Parkville, MO 64152 Heartland Center is a camp, conference and retreat center. Facilities and programs include overnight and day camps for children and youth grades K-12, retreat and conference facilities, Heartland Challenge Adventure courses including a rock wall and zip-line, horseback trail riding and banquet and catering.

There’s something bittersweet about the end of summer.
We’ve watched campers grow, friendships form and God work in countless ways at Heartland. And now, everyone is heading into something new.
We may not know what this school year will hold. We may not know what opportunities, challenges or changes are ahead.
But we know who does.
Today, we’re praying for our campers, summer staff and Heartland families as they step into a new season. May we trust God with what’s ahead, even when we can’t see the whole path.
Because the God who was faithful at camp will be faithful wherever the road leads next.

Grab a shovel with us! ⛏️

Something new is happening at Heartland. On Sunday, October 11, we're breaking ground on eight new changing rooms and a covered deck at the Aquatic Center, the shaded spot where campers will gather for Bible study and wait for their turn to jump in the water.

We'd love for you to be there as we turn the first shovels of dirt and pray over the ground and the kids who will grow here for years to come. Come write a prayer for our future campers to seal in a time capsule that will be placed in the footings of the deck.

Look what God did this summer. 💚

The numbers tell only part of the story. Behind every number is a camper who was known by name, a staff member who chose to serve, and a moment where God was at work.

This summer, Heartland welcomed 2,447 campers through day camp and overnight camp at our Parkville site, as well as 20 traveling day camp locations; 302 campers experienced our Parkville site for the first time. Heartland has been blessed by 65 summer staff members and 34 volunteers who gave their time and hearts to serving.

But these aren't just numbers. They're stories of belonging, courage, friendship, growth, and faith—and countless moments of God's faithfulness.

We're so grateful to everyone who made Summer 2026 possible. Thank you for being part of the story. 💚

Ask any camper what their favorite activities are and you'll hear the pools consistently as one of their top places 💚

It's where shy campers make new friends, where an entire cabin jumps in at once, and where a hot summer afternoon turns into one of the best memories of the week.
Next summer, we're making the pool experience even better.

Phase I of our Aquatic Center campaign will add a covered deck and eight new changing rooms, giving campers more comfortable spaces to gather, stay out of the weather, and spend more time enjoying one of their favorite places at Heartland.

We're already $215,000 toward our $405,000 goal, which means we're $190,000 closer to making these improvements a reality!

Summer may be winding down, but God’s work in us doesn’t stop when we leave camp.
Campers are heading back to school. Summer staff are heading back to campus or starting jobs.
A lot is changing.
So today, we’re praying for everyone stepping into something new: that God would give courage when things feel unfamiliar, peace when there are questions, and a reminder that God is with us wherever we go.
The God who met us at Heartland this summer is the same God who goes with us into every new classroom, workplace and community.

For generations, the pool has been the heartbeat of a Heartland summer. It's where the shy camper makes a first friend, where a family group creates community, where a hot afternoon becomes the memory a camper carries home.

This fall, we are breaking ground on eight new changing rooms and a covered deck. It's more than shade. It's where campers gather in small groups, open their Bibles, and wait together for swim time. Then, as soon as the remaining funds are in place, we renovate the old bathhouse into a clean, welcoming, year-round space.

The result: a pool experience that serves more kids, more comfortably, for decades. And a place that tells every camper, you belong here, and someone cared enough to build it for you.

We're at $215,000 of our $405,000 goal, with a $50,000 Mabee Foundation challenge grant waiting to be unlocked when we raise the rest. Every gift moves a shovel closer to the ground.
