The mission of the Morgan State University Southern Maryland Alumni Chapter is exclusively educational and charitable for the purpose of promoting the interest, welfare, and the excellence of the University and all of its components. The chapter also seeks to strengthen and extend relationships among alumni; to foster all possible means of keeping alumni informed about the University; its progress

and its challenges; to develop and utilize the individual and collective efforts of the alumni in advancing the welfare and best interest of the University; to encourage promising high school students to select the University for their education; and to provide financial support to the University and assist the University in its efforts to raise funds from alumni, friends and the private sector.

The Morgan State University Southern Maryland Alumni Chapter was proud to represent the National Treasure at this year’s HBCU Festival! 🐻💙🧡

Hosted by the Charles County Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism at Westlake High School, our chapter had an amazing time connecting with students, families, and future Bears.

We shared information on academic programs, scholarships, and the incredible opportunities available at Morgan State University—while celebrating the power and legacy of HBCUs.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and made this event so meaningful. The future is bright! ✨
