As part of observing Domestic Violence Awareness Month each year, New Hope Midcoast creates the Empty Place at the Table memorial for community members to contemplate the impact of domestic violence and, more specifically, domestic violence homicide on our neighborhoods and towns.

This year, Empty Place at the Table will be on display in community spaces across the midcoast–including Topsham Public Library, Waldoboro Public Library Waldoboro Public Library, and the Waldo County YMCA.

We encourage members of the community to visit this exhibit and learn about the lives of local victims as shared by their family members. A member of New Hope’s team will remain with the exhibit to answer any questions and share information about our resources and work.
