Today the Waldoborough Historical Society Museum was honored to receive this gift from a local young man Justin Reynolds.
Justin on October 3, 2022 found this sign in Massachusetts and brought it back to Waldoboro.
Today September 6th 2026, Justin said it was time for this important part of the towns history to be placed in the museum.
We greatly appreciate this gift Justin made to the museum and are very grateful for his passion in saving items from our past.

AGAIN we have to remind people, while we appreciate your bottle and can donations as part of fundraising efforts for the museum, we DO NOT appreciate your trash. If you do not know how to properly recycle please take the time to educate yourself. Volunteers of the museum should not have to dispose of YOUR trash. This is not a "first time honest mistake" this happens on a regular basis.
We do have video of every person that places bags in the collection box and it is not to hard to match up bags with who dropped them off.
If you do not want to educate yourself on the correct way to recycle, we will be happy to provide you with Clynk Bags and stickers, that way you can drop the bags of bottles and cans at the Clynk location by Hannaford.
For all of you that donate correctly, we appreciate your donations

WALDOBORO, Maine – Drive along the undulating two-lane roads of the Pine Tree State, and every few miles, it seems, you’ll pass another cemetery. Granite stones and white slabs fly by out the window, from large burial grounds on the outskirts of town and behind churches in the village center
