💙 Give loons space to raise their families and thrive! Keep your distance, slow down near nests, and enjoy their calls from afar.

Getting too close (whether by motorboat, kayak, or canoe) can cause them to abandon nests or leave eggs exposed to predators. Even small wakes can swamp nests.

During chick season, close encounters can distract parents from feeding and protecting their young, and sadly, motorboats can strike loons, especially chicks that can’t dive deep enough to escape.

For more information, check out the Loon Preservation Committee boaters' guidelines at https://loon.org/boatingguidelines/

Morning folks!
We have some confusion with having lake association members paying the Boat Launch Fee directly to the PRA (not us). Some have paid the PRA road maintenance fees, and sent the PRA checks made out to us (PRP Association). This is causing additional work for the PRA's accounting firm so we need to get this straightened out.

Yes, the names are too similar and that is big part of what is causing confusion, but we need to deal with what we have.

The PRP Association (that's us) and we are the lake association with $30 dues and have nothing to do with your road maintenance fees (usually in the hundreds of dollars). Road associations (Windover, Virginia, and Pinewood Shores) who collect lake association dues and pay them directly to us should still come to the PRP Association.

The PRA (Pine River Association) is the road association for David Dr, Thomas Dr, Joyce Ter, Anne Ln, Edward Dr, Hall Ter, Karen Way, Patty Pl, Gorman Ter, etc. If you don't live on these roads then do not pay the PRA road maintenance fees. When you go to their website to pay the Boat Launch Fee look for the picture of the boat and the $50 box titled Boat Launch Fee. Unless you live in that neighborhood, that's all you're paying to them.

If you have questions, email [email protected].

PRP Water level is low. We just got a measurement at the dam and are 28 inches below full height. The boards have been in the dam for several weeks, and we are in a severe drought area. Back in 2021 we did not fill up until well into June, and were 1 of only 3 lakes in the state that did not fill up that year as naturally expected. We did have decent snow cover this winter but much of NH remains in a drought.
Two days of rain are predicted in the forecast over the next 10 days that will help a little, but we need about a foot or rain to ease the drought.
If you are expecting a boat delivery soon you may need to reassess your docking conditions. Many boats normally beached for the winter are still not able to float.
