LIFE in Wake Forest We are a group of residents interested in helping promote and support events and festivals in Wake Fo Outside music, outside dining, fun place to be.

With the new downtown landscaping plan, the new micro brewery, White Street Brewery coming the historic downtown Wake Forest area should begin to be what has been envisioned for years - a lively historic arts and entertainment district.

also features N.C. grown perennials specific to our climatic zone. a reminder that tags on plants have to be specific to a zone. With the movement of plants around the world you can not rely on the tag as an annual or perennial. Example is "Scented Geraniums - Pelargoniums" . In South Africa they are "perennials" but once you get them to our Zone 7 then they become "tender perennials" meaning likely to not winter over. Always keep that in mind, the origin of the grower. For it's N.C. Grown!!! These are ready to bud. Only get peonies native to N.C.

In addition to organic herbs and vegetable plants; we will again have a selection of perennials available, grown locally, specifically for our zone! My peonies from previous years are about to give a show! What’s your favorite perennial??

Scented geraniums (pelargoniums) are grown for their lovely fragrance, and also for their beautiful leaves! Try lemon scented to repel insects, and rose scented for baking! Ask us more at HerbFest, opening April 30th in downtown Wake Forest!
