A Sight to See: Medical Updates
Tonks Gets Her Glow-Up
Remember Tonks—our 2-year-old Bloodhound who quickly stole hearts during her first week at the Farm? We have an exciting update! Tonks had her bilateral cherry eye surgery this week, and everything went beautifully. After a well-earned nap and a little “nip and tuck,” she woke up looking—and feeling—like a brand-new dog. Her bright, refreshed eyes match the gentle, loving spirit we all fell for the moment she arrived. Over the next few weeks, Tonks will take it easy as she heals from her procedure with a caring foster. Once she’s fully recovered, she’ll be ready to meet adopters. Tonks has already proven herself to be a volunteer favorite, and we have no doubt she’ll make an incredible addition to a lucky family.
Meet Ewing: The Boy with the Winning Wink
This handsome, 50-pound shepherd mix has a story of resilience, healing, and a whole lot of charm. Just a few weeks ago, Ewing underwent an enucleation (eye removal surgery) after arriving in need of medical care. Thanks to the incredible support of our community and a loving foster home where he could rest and recover, Ewing has bounced back.
Now? He’s back—and ready to make his debut in the best way he knows how. With his permanent wink and easygoing personality, Ewing has turned his journey into his superpower. His unique look only adds to his undeniable charisma, and he’s not shy about using it to win hearts. Now thriving and ready for his next adventure, Ewing found his forever people this week. We're wishing him a lifetime filled with love, walks, toys, belly rubs, and plenty of cuddles.
A Clearer View of What Care Makes Possible
Ewing and Tonks are just two of many dogs who arrive at Saving Grace in need of medical care before they’re ready for their next chapter. From surgeries like enucleations and cherry eye repair to foster rest and routine care, this support makes second chances possible. With the right care, time, and love, dogs like them don’t just heal—they thrive.
