We are excited to see you at Back to School Night tonight! Please stop by for a picture and make sure you share your contact information to stay in touch with PTO throughout the year. There is a PTO table set up at the front entrance. All past and new PTO members need to sign-up in order to receive emails from the PTO on ways to help WES students and staff! We look forward to an awesome 2026-2027 school year! 📚🚌✏️📓🖍️

We can’t wait to see all our WES students and their families at Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, Aug. 18th! Make sure you stop by the PTO table to sign up and stay up to date on all the ways you can be involved and help the PTO! We are looking forward to an awesome 2026-2027 school year!

Wakarusa Elementary PTO has also invited Perfect Twist Pretzels, Tom’s Coffee, & Sweet G’s Ice Cream to be a part of our evening in our south parking lot!

Doors open at 4:30–please use our main entrance or our east entrance (facing the middle school) that evening!

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week - We can’t wait to celebrate the WES staff this week.

To all WES staff members, “THANK YOU for being a part of our story”!

Friday: “Nacho Average Teacher” - the staff enjoyed a taco bar donated by WES families.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this week Teacher Appreciation so special all week for our amazing WES staff. We are so grateful for the hard work, love, and dedication the staff pours into our students every single day!

Thursday: “Lettuce Show Our Thanks” - the staff enjoyed delicious salads from the Culinary Mill and sandwiches from Jimmy John’s along with sides donated by our wonderful WES families. Thank you all!

Wednesday: “You’re Our Favorite” - the staff enjoyed a fan favorite Chick-fil-a. They also participated in a “Favorite Things” auction. Every staff member was able to pick 3 “Favorite Things” from the auction. All the items were generously donated by WES families. THANK YOU to all the WES families that made today AMAZING for our teachers!!
