I'm so excited about this upcoming "How to Easily Grow Organic Food Almost Anywhere!" online course that I'm creating.

For years, I've been taking videos of Dave doing a variety of organic gardening tasks and I KNEW they'd come in handy someday.
Love to hear your feedback on what topics you most want to learn about organic growing.

There are even lessons on growing indoors in pots, small scale hydroponic setups, and even growing sprouts!
This is a treasure trove of information.

I love to celebrate people's success, especially those that I know personally.

Look at what season one Vermont Farm Immersion Program participants, the Hazels (as we affectionately call them) have accomplished.

They started their own family farm, the Flying Buffalo, after participating in our program. They have worked very hard to make this dream a reality. They even grew enough produce last season to take to a local farmer's market. Woohoo!

Can't wait to see what they'll do this season.
Check them out. Movers and shakers in agriculture.

During our farm immersion program this year, we created wildflower Limpias. These were used to clear away any unwanted negative energy and release it back to the earth to be recycled.

"The number of family farms in Vermont continues to decline. But through an immersion program, that has been called a combination of a camp, retreat and worker training, people can sign up to learn how to be better farmers, and even how to start a farming business.

Amy Todisco started the multi-day program at Hartshorn Farm in Waitsfield last year. She spoke with host Connor Cyrus about it, and what solutions it could hold for the future of farming in Vermont and how its uniquely suited to meet a moment when many are clamoring for more freedom in their work life.

Todisco discusses leading retreats, green living, learning about organic farming, entrepreneurship, and getting in touch with nature. This year is from Aug. 15 through 19."

Dave Hartshorn and I couldn't be prouder of our wonderful duo of Hazels (Hazel Adams-Shango and her daughter, Hazel) from last summer's first Vermont Farm Immersion Program.

They've actually started their own farm, the Flying Buffalo, LLC and are already growing food!

Such smart, talented, and determined women (Hazel's sons are also part of the business, working more behind the scenes.)
Congratulations Flying Buffalo, LLC.

We can't wait to see how things continue to grow on your organic farm.

There's still space for this season's Vermont Farm Immersion Program. August 15-19. Check it out: https://www.hartshornfarm.com/farm-immersion

Whether taking over an already operational farm or starting one from scratch, it is business first, and there is a lot of business to consider.

WCAX News was back this morning to interview the two smart, talented, determined women, Hazel Adams-Shango and her lovely daughter, Hazel, about the new family farm, Flying Buffalo, LLC, that they created this summer after attending our first Vermont Farm Immersion Program last July.

They did an excellent job talking about what they learned, the added help that they found after our program, the synchronicities that helped propel them forward, and what they've accomplished. It's truly inspiring.

Can't wait to post the news clip on Tuesday when it airs.

We're looking forward to this August 15-19th farm immersion program. https://www.hartshornfarm.com/farm-immersion

There is still space if you're looking to create a sustainable farm, grow more of your own food, or a food business of some sort.
Now is the time to learn. Help yourself and your family become more food independent. Start a business, if that's a calling.

One on one coaching for each participant, as well as group coaching to help you crystalize your vision and create a plan to make it happen like the Hazels did.
