The new Old Callahan Backcountry Zone is taking shape, and we need YOUR HELP to get it ready to ski this winter! Staff from the CTA and the Vermont Dept of Forests, Parks, and Rec, along with volunteers from MRVBC, have worked hard to flag and cut the ski lines this fall.
Now it’s time to clean up the two primary downhill lines and build some snow karma. Our first volunteer day is scheduled for October 25th, with additional volunteer days to follow in November. Expect a full day of good solid work removing the trees, clearing underbrush, and full contact leaf peeping.
Come make buddies, check out the layout of the new zone, get intel and gear tips, and expect to hang for a little parking lot apres. For more details on how to volunteer please visit the Trail Work page on the CTA website or email [email protected]. And remember, your membership helps make all this happen - become a CTA/MRVBC member today! Come out and be part of the community, help maintain our trails so we can play safely this winter and have adventures right in our backyard!
