Chinagu Eisa at Rinzai Zen Mission Obon 2026

First time performing at this Maui Bon dance and first performance for our Maui members; Ruth, Jill, and Doreen! Participated in Tenyo and Shinkanucha with a full set with Kagitachi and ending with Hiyarugahei!

With another hurrican on its way, we were able to fill our day at the Maui Ocean Center and work our way towards Krispy Kreme and get sweet treats at Stillwells 😋

We will be in Maui again for the Maui Okinawa Festival with the full force of Chinagu Eisa members! See you again on October 10th 🤙🏻

Now THIS is what Eisa is all about! 🥁🔥

Three members of Chinagu Eisa Hawaii are currently in Okinawa to deepen their Okinawa cultural experience, learn from the source, and continue growing as individuals. But no matter where they are, there’s always time for Eisa!

Getting the opportunity to perform alongside Naha Daiko at イーアス沖縄豊崎 (iias Okinawa Toyosaki) was an experience of its own. Performing in front of an amazing crowd with the aquarium as the backdrop? It doesn’t get much cooler than that! 🌊🐠

We’re so proud to see our members representing Chinagu while continuing to learn, connect, and share their passion for Eisa in Okinawa.

Chinagu Beach Day 2026!

Our annual beach day was a success thanks to Shinka and Nago Village club collaboration!
So many games with prizes for the kids - and so much food for all of our members.

Everyone has been working so hard, this year so far wouldn’t have been a success without all of you - now lets finish the year strong and show them what Chinagu is made of. Chibariyo!

Thank you everyone that made this weekend possible! Our members worked tirelessly for our new Shurayoi choreography, and our first performance and first collaborative duo with Kiiyamasyouten was a HIT! Our vision for Shurayoi would have never come true without all of you.

Thank you (Misa-san) for making the connection successful, making new friendships between Okinawa and Hawaii will live long and happily.

Excited for new adventures to come forward for Chinagu! Looking forward to the rest of 2026!
