We broke new ground in our combined worship service today with UCC POHNPEI WAIPAHU, including the sermon by Pastor Mitchell Neth, both choirs singing, and a meal offered by UCCP. Thank you God for communicating with us in so many ways, united by your Holy Spirit.

A wonderful job by keiki from around O`ahu tonight in their performance of Sadako and A Thousand Cranes. Mahalo for the community coming out to support them.

The one thousand folded cranes will be sent to the Hiroshima memorial.

Join us for the recital of the GAMEKIDS theater camp production of SADAKO, this Saturday, October 10, at 7pm, in the sanctuary of Waipahu United Church of Christ. The keiki & youth have been working hard on their lines and Bon Dances. Admission is free and open to the public.

Join us this Sunday at 9;30am for a combined worship of UCC Pohnpei (Waipahu) and Waipahu UCC. Rev. Mitchell Neth (pictured here) will be preaching. Both choirs will be singing. All are welcome in the house of God.

October 1 marks the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). From our island coalition: At Hawaiʻi State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (HSCADV), DVAM is an opportunity to bring people together across our islands, to support survivors, strengthen the advocates and organizations doing this work, increase understanding, and build communities where everyone can live free from domestic violence.

Throughout October, we’re creating opportunities to learn, connect, take action, and show up for survivors and our communities.
