Happy Aloha Friday! We are excited to invite you to our upcoming 'Āina Momona workshop! We are having a Niu Workshop on June 20, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Hui Mālama O Ke Kai Foundation. Sign up at growgoodhawaii-ainaworkshop.eventbrite.com!

At the workshop, Jesse Mikasobe-Kealiʻinohomoku and his team will teach all about niu, from discussions on niu stages to the kuleana of planting, protecting, and caring for niu in the face of the devastating impacts of the coconut rhinoceros beetle (CRB). Jesse is the Food Access Manager at ‘Elepaio Social Services and a leader in the .now movement.

This event is a great opportunity to learn more about food forests and how you can start one in your backyard. Additionally, participants receive FREE plants for participating.

Happy Aloha Friday! After many delays and much anticipation, we are excited to invite you to a special ʻĀina Momona workshop! We are having the air layering and grafting workshop on May 16, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Hui Mālama O Ke Kai Foundation! This workshop was originally planned for February, but has been rescheduled due to the weather conditions at the time.

At this workshop, Dr. Nat Bletter will present on grafting and air-layering concepts and techniques! Learn the basics of grafting and air-layering, then put your new skills into practice with a hands-on activity. We welcome the whole ʻohana, including keiki. The workshop content is designed for an adult skill level.
