Chris Flateland brings the spirit of aloha to everything he does at Pacific Whale Foundation.
Whether he’s chaperoning keiki on whale watches, digging into restoration efforts across the island, supporting creative projects, sorting abandoned fishing debris, or hauling ghost nets out of the water with our Marine Debris Rapid Response Team, Chris shows up with his whole heart every single time.
That kind of dedication does not go unnoticed.
We are thrilled to share that Chris has been selected for an internship with our partners at the Division of Forestry and Wildlife, taking his passion for protecting the ʻāina and ocean to the next level.
Chris, mahalo nui loa. You are living proof of what’s possible when someone leads with heart. We cannot wait to see everything you accomplish, and we are grateful to keep working alongside you every Thursday during our Ridge to Reef Mālama Pono volunteer days with the Division of Forestry and Wildlife from 7:30 to 9:30 am.
