West Maui Greenway Environmental Assessment Virtual Community Meeting

After more than a decade of community advocacy, planning, and collaboration, the West Maui Greenway project is taking another important step forward.

We encourage residents, businesses, and community members to attend the upcoming virtual Environmental Assessment (EA) meeting to learn about the project, ask questions, and stay informed about the future of this vital community asset.

Despite challenging weather conditions including strong winds and rain, the 2026 Maui Ride of Silence brought together riders, community leaders, advocates, public agencies, and volunteers on Saturday, May 23, to honor cyclists lost on Maui’s roads and raise awareness for safer streets for all.

2026 Maui Ride of Silence Highlights 🤍

Despite the wind and rain, our community came together to honor the riders we have lost on Maui’s roads and support safer streets for all.

Mahalo to all riders, volunteers, partners, Maui PD Bike Patrol, HEAL volunteers, MPO, Department of Health, Mayor Bissen, and everyone who helped make this event meaningful.

These lives will not be forgotten.

Time is running out! Don't miss out on the 2026 Maui Memorial Ride, happening this Saturday, May 23. Participants are invited to wear white and ride 13 miles together in silence to honor cyclists who have been hit or killed on Maui''s roadways. Following the ride, stay for complimentary refreshments (provided by Robin Hagen), advocacy updates, and conversation. Registration is required for both MBL members and non-members.
