Each year, The Royal Hawaiian Guard (RHG) Mo’i and Nā Mea ʻIke ʻIa (NMII) come forth to pay tribute to His Majesty King Kamehameha ʻEkahi. This year, Elizabeth Keka'aniauokalani Laanui honored us by standing alongside Guardsmen Scot Patrick Hoapili and Rick Yniguez as we gave tribute to the man, the Mo’i, the father of a nation, and the creator of a kingdom whose legacy endures in the hearts of all kanaka maoli. He remains a true kiaʻi of his people.
