Meet Harold Macapulay 🤍

In this interview, Harold shares why inclusivity is such an important part of the care we provide at Mālama I Ke Ola. We believe every person deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, and safe when receiving care regardless of their background or experiences.

Because compassionate healthcare starts with making every member of our community feel like they belong.

From first steps to steady steps, we’re proud to care for our community—every age, every day.

Maui’s keiki deserve easier access to care, and that’s exactly what school-based health care does.

Mālama I Ke Ola meets students at school with primary care services and expanded behavioral health support, helping remove barriers like transportation, appointment availability, and insurance gaps.

Kākou for Keiki (K4K) brings together family advocates, service providers, medical professionals, government partners, and community members to strengthen health and resilience for all keiki ages birth to five across Maui County.

Centered on building meaningful pilina, K4K works to create a thriving, flexible early childhood ecosystem that connects ‘ohana to trusted services, empowering them with choice and opportunity.

As part of this effort, K4K operates a screening kiosk in the pediatrics waiting room at Mālama I Ke Ola Health Center in Wailuku, where families can complete developmental screenings such as the ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 to track physical, social, and emotional growth, celebrate milestones, and access supportive resources.

The kiosk is available Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 11:00 am.

This Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, we recognize the importance of creating space for honest conversations, support, and care.

Mental health is an essential part of overall well-being, and no one should feel like they have to navigate challenges alone. Seeking support is not a weakness, it’s an important step toward healing and health.
