We have been able to donate bags of dog treats to the Lahaina Food Box distribution for the past couple weeks. We loved getting this update from Jay-Jo Wright of Lahaina Baptist Church! That looks like one happy pup to be receiving Kini's Treats! Mahalo for all that you are doing for the people of Maui, we are honored to be making a small contribution.

Jenny got a special delivery today! Swipe ➡️ to see what’s inside. Jenny’s sisters good friend saw what Jenny was doing for all the Maui pups. She lives in Mexico, but wanted to send something that would bring a smile to Jenny’s face and give her a fun activity to do while in quarantine! Thank you Amanda for this very thoughtful gift! Jenny will have so much fun making jewelry, in her down time from making/delivering Kini’s Treats of course! 🥰

Kini’s Treats has an official logo! Jenny’s sister, Candace created the custom illustration and her bestie designed the logo. The dog in the illustration is Candace’s rescue pup, Violet. Introducing Kini’s Treats on Instagram! “Kini’s” translates to Jenny’s in Hawaiian, which is how we came up with the name. This is Jenny Felix. She is a special needs adult living in Maui, HI. Jenny loves animals and started baking her homemade dog treats over a year ago, her mother Frankie’s idea. She would bake treats and every Saturday go to the Maui Humane Society to give them to the pups waiting for their fur-ever homes. ⁣

With the Covid-19 situation and all of the closures across Hawaii this was no longer an option for Jenny. Most of the daily activities Jenny would do came to an abrupt halt. We came up with the idea of offering “no-contact” drop offs of Jenny’s treats to the people of Maui and their beloved pups. This would keep Jenny busy baking and able to get out of the house for deliveries, all while keeping social distancing and public safety in mind. ⁣

We initially threw the idea out on Facebook and the response has been incredible! The treats and drop off are offered completely free and are only donation based. Jenny and her team have delivered treats to over 70 homes in under 3 weeks!! Many people have donated, some left fresh fruit or flowers as trade and someone even made Jenny a sweet friendship bracelet. ⁣

We are so grateful to the people of Maui for being receptive to this idea! Jenny has been so so HAPPY and this couldn’t have happened without your support. ⁣

With only three simple ingredients, these treats are vegan & freshly baked without preservatives. We think this is why the pups love them so much!⁣

Jenny was out and about again today doing “no-contact” doggie treat drop-offs! We want to say thank you again to our community for response to this idea. Jenny is busy, happy & doing something she loves! In a time where there was a loss of normal routine, this has been such a blessing. If you haven’t gotten your drop off yet, don’t worry! More drop offs will be happening through the weekend 🙂. We will be in touch on the day of drop off.

For those interested in a repeat drop off I will be sending out an email to all of you soon, so check your inboxes!

If you haven’t haven’t signed up for Kini’s Treats yet and would like a “no-contact” treat drop off please message us! Again, the treats and drop off are FREE. We do accept donations via Venmo -Treats.

Welcome to Kini's Treats!

Kini’s Treats are fresh baked dog treats hand-made in Maui, HI. Kini translates to Jenny in Hawaiian, hence the name. Jennifer Felix is a special-needs adult living on Maui with a passion for animals. Jenny started baking these special treats for the pups at the Maui Humane Society over a year ago. One of her favorite activities is volunteering on Saturdays at MHS. She would get to give one treat to each of the sweet dogs looking for their fur-ever homes.

Kini’s Treat “drop off” was born during the Covid-19 pandemic. A time where most of all Jenny’s activities came to an abrupt halt. We came up with the idea of a no-contact, donation based, treat drop off for the Maui community. This would allow Jenny to continue baking her treats and drop them off to pups all over Maui, with “social distancing” in mind. We threw the idea out on Facebook to see if people would even be open to the idea, and man were they! The response has been incredible and definitely more than we ever imagined!
