The Soundtrack to Fueling Futures Forward 🎶

A huge thank you to tannerjaymusic for sharing his talent at Fueling Futures Forward.

One of the most meaningful moments of the night came when he performed Dan + Shay’s “Say So.” The special tribute created a powerful moment of reflection and connection for all in attendance.

Tanner, you’re an incredible country musician and an even better person. Thank you for using your talents to help make the night so special.

Meet Abigail Brown.

But Abigail’s biggest message goes beyond the game.

“As athletes we are taught to be independent and work for everything we get so asking for help doesn't always come natural. True mental strength is admitting to yourself that you can't do it all and that its okay. There is nothing wrong with not being able to carry everything, we aren’t meant to do this life alone.”

Through the highs and challenges of being a college athlete, Abigail has learned that softball is something she does, but it isn’t who she is. Her journey has taught her the importance of leaning on her faith, opening up, and allowing the people who care about her to walk alongside her.

She credits her two best friends from home for helping her through some of her hardest moments:

“They have been my light when I didn’t know where the end of the tunnel was. I would tell them thank you for listening when I didn’t want to talk about what I was going through, for never trying to fix me, and for loving me no matter what.”

At Play for Paige 33, we believe strength isn’t about carrying everything by yourself. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is let someone know you need them.

Thank you, Abigail, for reminding athletes everywhere that while sports are an important part of our stories, they are not our whole story. Your value goes far beyond the scoreboard.

Meet Vincent Long.

Millard West Basketball, 26” Grad
Bellevue University Commit

“Anything is achievable if you surround yourself with good people.”

For Vincent, this season was about more than basketball. During his junior year, his family faced challenges that required incredible mental toughness and perspective. Then as a senior, he stepped into a new leadership role and learned what it meant to lead through challenges.

One lesson stayed with him:

“Being able to show that you are able to overcome emotional situations.”

Strength is not always measured by points, wins, or highlights. Sometimes it looks like showing up, leading others, and continuing forward through difficult seasons.

As Vincent closes one chapter and heads to Bellevue University to continue his basketball journey, he reminds us that who surrounds you matters and that growth often comes through the moments nobody sees.

Last night was something truly special. 💜

We are still blown away by the overwhelming support shown at our inaugural Fueling Futures Forward event benefiting the Play for Paige 33 Foundation.

A huge thank you to the entire Peter Fink family for opening up such an incredible venue and helping create a night none of us will ever forget.

Thank you to the amazing Red Rhino team, all of our sponsors, volunteers, donors, friends, and families who showed up to support youth mental health awareness and Paige’s legacy.

From the conversations, to the cars, to the community, to the stories shared… it was a beautiful reminder that kindness matters, connection matters, and people truly do care.

We pray this becomes an annual tradition for our community.
