Day 8 of God’s Promises - Power to Witness

““But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”” Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God has called you to be a minister of reconciliation. And He will not leave you hanging. He will give you the power, the ability and confidence to be that messenger of the good news. He will give this power, through the Holy Spirit when we ask for it and seek His presence.

Day 7 of God’s Promises - Reconciliation

“And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Not only did God reconcile us back to Him through His Son Jesus but He has given us the ministry of reconciliation, to bring people back to God.

As you pray today, ask God who He has in mind for you to reach out to. Don’t concern yourself so much with how it will be done but rather that you are willing and ready to partner with God in the ministry of reconciliation.

Day 6 of God’s Promises - Your Children

No matter where your children are in life, continue to love, instruct, train and pray for your children (no matter how old they are) and commit them to God daily.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬

If your children are younger, pray for right relationships. Pray for their future spouse. Pray for their careers and pray that they will be followers of Jesus Christ, all their lives.

Even if your children are far away from God, grown up and out of the house, continue to pray for them and love them. Pray for right relationships; to make right choices, and that the things of this world become strangely dim in the light of God’s glory and grace.

Day 5 of God’s Promises - Eternal Life

Death is not the end. He promises resurrection and forever with Him.

"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." John 11:25

““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬

This life is temporary. The next life is forever. Is everyone you know aware of God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord?

Day 4 of God’s Promises - God Provides

Not luxury, but everything you truly need.

"My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

Thank you, O Mighty Father, You provide for me. I will not be anxious but trust You for what I need (Matthew 6:31-33). You own the cattle on a thousand hills(Psalm 50:10). You are the Maker of the Universe and everything in creation belongs to you (Psalm 24:1). I rely on You. You are Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:14), my Provider. I fully trust in You, mighty God!

God’s guidance is not only to keep you from harm but also to bring you into His perfect plan and purpose which brings true peace and joy regardless of what you face.

Forgiveness

Full cleansing when you confess. No sin is too great.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

Thank God today that He did not hold your sin against you. He gave His only Son to pay the ultimate price so you could be forgiven through Jesus. What an amazing promise!
