S1 Civic Group S1 Civic Group,a non-profit civic organization, is dedicated to improving the landscape of the Waggaman area and the quality of life for all its residents.

The S1 Civic Group was founded to protect the rural feel of the Waggaman community by working with government officials, developers and residents. We address all issues of concern to our residents and actively work to increase our quality of life. Our open meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month (we do not meet in June and July) at the Live Oak Volunteer Fire Station on Modern Farms Road in Waggaman at 7:00 PM.

The Second Harvest Mobile Market is currently open next to the fire station on Azalea Drive. It will be here until 11am. Stop in and get items you may need for your home and family .
