More with our updates and upgrades:
With the help of Braskett Racing Engines we attacked the “drivers lounge” over the COVID break with some much needed attention.
We opened the “hoop” alowing the driver more room and a much safer ride. This also gave room for a full size steering wheel we have all been wanting. Additionally, the relocation of our custom shifter, delay box, and ignition panel was also addressed. A new carbon fiber transmission tunnel was built and the rest of the cockpit was dressed with carbon details that really gives a cool look!
We also replaced the fire suppression system,
the front shocks, and upgraded the Hughs 2-speed power glide transmission with a huge input shaft and complete new tr**ny. If that wasn’t enough we swapped out the converter with an all aluminum converter weighing a fraction of the 1/2 & 1/2 we were running prior. By loosing weight, adding power, gaining visibility and increasing efficiency this car is more than ready to show what he’s capable of. As for the entire P500R team, well it’s been a long layoff and to say their impatiently waiting for our first test day is probably the biggest understatement I can make!
